Christmas 2011

I had a great Christmas this year. Santa brought me everything I asked for. From Grandma Judi (my Mommy's Friend from California) I got Furreal Friends my go go walkin pup, a mobi go, a Barbie bath toy and a bunch of clothes. From Santa I got a couple games for my mobi go, and a sticker book. From Mommy and Daddy I got a Wii game, a magnetic princess dress up set, more stickers, and from my friend Retta I got a tea set. I have a feeling I am forgetting something. I got so many presents it was hard to keep track of everything I got. If I forgot to mention something I am sorry.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful gifts I got. You all made my Christmas extra special.

Afternoon at the Park

Today we all went to the park to play. I played on the playground for awhile, Mommy and Daddy sat and watched. After awhile we went down to the river to see how low it was, and it was low enough to walk around in. I had fun walking in the river with Daddy. The water was cold but it felt good. I had a fun day with Mommy and Daddy.

Beech Bend and Splash Lagoon

Today we went to Beech Bend, it was for Daddy's work. We have never been there before, so it was all new to us. They had rides for me, which I went on, but only a couple of them. I was to scared of the other rides. Maybe when I get older I will want to ride the other rides. We also went to a petty zoo which had goats, geese, and a cat. All I wanted to see was the cat, the goats ran away when I tried to pet them. After awhile it started to rain, so we came home, good thing we did, we hit some really hard rain coming home. I slept through most of the rain on the way home. All in all it was a good day.

4th Birthday

Today is my Birthday, I am 4 years old now. We didn't do much today for my birthday, Daddy and I just played in the pool, and played in some mud, then we had cake and opened presents. I got some bubbles, a puppy zhu zhu pet, and a kite from Mommy and Daddy. From my Mommy's friend in California I got clothes, a purse, stickers, a Spongebob puzzle, a dress, a small fur real friends puppy, and smurf figurines. Thank you Judi for all the awesome gifts. I love all of them.

It is hard to believe that Alyssa is already 4 years old, where has the time gone. It still feels like she should be my little baby. She has changed so much since she was born.

Jump Zone

Today we went to Jump Zone, it was our first time so we didn't know what to expect. They had 7 different inflatables to play on. I got scared a few times as I didn't want to go down the slide. But with a little help from Mommy and Daddy I made it down. I hope we go back again, I had a lot of fun.

Lets fly a Kite

Daddy has the weekend off so today was our day to have fun. Mommy filled up the pool a little. Yes you read that right. Then we did a few chores around the house. After we were done with chores we got to play. Daddy put the kite together and we flew the kite for about an hour or so. We had lots of fun doing that, Daddy even let me fly it by myself. After that we played in the pool for a little bit. Daddy got a little sunburned, and I also got a little red.

Mommy said there was something on the lens of her camera that made the funny marks on the picture of the kite flying in the sky. She didn't see it until she uploaded the pictures.

Easter 2011

Last night the Easter bunny stopped by our house and hid Easter Eggs. I had fun trying to find them all, some of the eggs had stickers, others had candy, I even found eggs with little frogs in them. How did the Easter bunny know what I like. After I found all the eggs and I had a chance to look at them all. Daddy said the Easter bunny left one more big basket that I had to find. Daddy wanted to put some clothes in the dryer and when I opened the dryer I found my big Easter basket filled with more goodies. I got bubbles, slinkies, stickers, suckers,and a bunch of other things.

I had fun finding all the Easter Eggs, can't wait til next year.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today we went to Owens Farms for an Easter Egg Hunt. It wasn't much of a hunt at all as all the eggs where just laying on the ground. Daddy had to help me a little in the beginning as I didn't know what to do. In the end I picked up 7 eggs, which I turned in for a little bag of candy.

We walked around a little before and after the Easter Egg Hunt and I got to see my Horses again.

I hope we can do another Egg hunt sometime soon, I had lots of fun.

Blowing Bubbles

Mommy and I went outside to play this afternoon. And since it was windy out Mommy got some bubbles for me to blow. The wind helped out a lot with the bubble blowing. I had fun blowing bubbles.

Spring is in the Air

This morning Mommy and I went outside to play, and we started to notice a bunch of purple voilets on the ground. The more we looked around the more we saw signs of Spring. One of the big trees in the backyard is starting to bud. We can't wait for all the trees to open up so we can have some shade again.

Playing with the Camera

I got ahold of Mommy's camera and was running around the house taking pictures. I think I did pretty good for my age. I like to get up close and personal with my pictures. I took pictures of my potty, Daddy's coat, the floor while I was going potty, and a bunch of other things.

More Snow

I woke up this morning to find it snowing outside, I didn't even know it was suppose to snow so it was a nice surprise. Daddy said we are suppose to be getting another storm on Thursday. I can't wait to see how much more snow we are suppose to get.

Mommy and I bundled up and went outside to play in the snow, Mommy pulled me around in the sled for a little bit, then we made a snowman, and snow angel. We watched alot of birds fly overhead so we went and filled up the birdfeeders.

Mommy and I had alot of fun playing in the snow.

Winter Wonderland

We got some snow last night, only about 3 inches or so. But it was enough to have Daddy pull me around in the sled, and to just have fun in the snow. It is already starting to melt so we enjoyed it while it was still around. I am sure in a couple of days all the snow will be gone. The snow wasn't quite sticky enough to make a snowman, but I still had fun playing with Daddy.

Dancing

My Big Present

This afternoon I got to open my big present, and it was a tent!!! Now we can go camping this summer. I have it set up in my room right now and it takes up the whole room. I can't wait til summer so we can take it outside and play in it.

Christmas 2010

This year Christmas was fun, as I am getting older I am starting to realize what presents are. This year I started shaking the presents to see if I could figure out what was inside. Mommy and Daddy thought it was funny, so I kept on doing it.

I was a good girl this year so Santa brought me some really cool presents. I got some building blocks, a book for my Tag Junior, some glow sticks (I like to play with them outside at night) and I have one more really big present that I get to open tomorrow.

I also got some clothes from my Grandma Smith in Minnesota, and some clothes from my Cousin Sarah in Michigan. My Mommy's friend Retta got me a tea set.

I can't wait til tomorrow to see what my big present is. Will make sure Mommy takes lots of pictures and I will post what it is.

White Christmas

We finally got a white Christmas down here. It only snowed a couple of inches, but it was enough to have Daddy pull me around in my new sled. I had fun running my glove through the snow and then eating whatever snow I got in my glove. Daddy said I could eat as much snow as I wanted. When I looked out the window before bedtime it was snowing again a little bit, so maybe Daddy will take me sledding again.

First Haircut

I got my first real haircut awhile ago. I sat very still the whole time. The only time I moved was when the lady was cutting my bangs and hair got on my face. She didn't cut much off as this was my first time and she wasn't sure how good I would do.

Mommy took the picture with her cell phone, and Daddy got her something that will let her take the pictures from the phone and put them on the computer. So Mommy was able to post the picture.

Christmas Lights

Last Sunday we went to downtown Clarksville to look at some Christmas lights. It was a little cold out so we didn't look at them to long. Mommy got some pictures of Daddy and I in front of a big Christmas tree. I hope we will go look at some more Christmas Day after we are done opening presents.

I know some of the pictures are blurry, Mommy was trying to figure out how to take a picture so you could see the lights.

Winter Fun

We got some snow yesterday, so Mommy and I went outside to play in it. Most of the snow has already started to melt. But it was still fun playing in it. Mommy bundled me up really warm since it was cold outside. Mommy put me in 3 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of socks, 2 long sleeve shirts, my winter coat and 2 pair of mittens. I was nice and warm, Mommy on the other hand was cold, so we didn't stay outside that long. Mommy said if I came inside to warm up she would let me bring in a bucket of snow to play with in the house. Mommy kept her promise and I got to continue playing in the snow in the nice warm house.

First Snow of the Season

Thursday night we had our first snow of the season. I know for all of you that live up North this is nothing. But down here we take what we can get. It started out as rain and as the night went on and it got colder it turned to snow. I had fun making a little mound with the snow. Daddy let me take it in the house to play with when I got to cold. Of course all the snow was gone by Friday, oh well guess I will have to start doing a snow dance to bring on more snow.

Helping Mommy With Dishes

So I decided to help Mommy with dishes. I had the towel tucked in the front of my shirt so I wouldn't get wet. I was standing on one of Mommies mixing bowls. I had a lot of fun playing in the bubbles, I kept adding more. By the time I was done the floors where wet along with the counters, but Mommy didn't get mad, she was just happy I was having fun.

Owens Farm part 2

We went back to Owens Farm since we had so much fun the first time. They didn't have as much stuff set up this time around, but that was okay with me. They still had the bouncy slide, and the animals.

Halloween 2010

Mommy and Daddy took me to the mall to go trick or treating. We went early before all the bigger kids got to the mall. I was scared at first, but after I found out I got candy if I said trick or treat I wanted more. I was dressed up like a witch, but I was a good witch. Everyone at the mall said I was so cute. I said Thank you after I got my candy and blew kisses and said good bye, we walked the whole mall and went into stores that had candy. I think I did pretty good my first time trick or treating, I can't wait til next year!!!!!

Playing in the Pool

It is starting to get cooler out, so we filled up the pool one last time. Mommy added buckets of hot water. That way the water wasn't to cold. I had alot of fun playing in the pool. Mommy started taking a video of me and Daddy was standing right behind Mommy and he was making funny faces and gestures and I was copying everything that he did. Mommy was trying hard not to laugh.

Owen Farm

Yesterday Mommy, Dadddy and me went to Owen Farm. It is a pumkin farm with lots of stuff to do. They had a 60 ft drop zone slide, a corn crib, animals, barrel train, and even an area for toddlers to play in.

The first thing we did was check out the toddler play area. They had an area with corn to play in. I liked scooping it up and throwing it around. They had a big bounce house in the toddler area but I didn't know what to think of that. After we walked around to see what else we could do, and we came across the barrel train. By the time we got there it was just finishing up a ride. So once it stopped and everyone got off Daddy asked if I wanted to go, and he put him in a barrel. And off we went, it was a slow and dusty ride, we went in circles a few times. I held on tight. Mommy and Daddy where proud of me for going on a ride all by myself. So after the barrel ride we went to the big 60 ft drop zone slide. Daddy had to take my shoes off so I could go on the slide. I had to crawl up this ladder and then slide down. It wasn't like a slide at the park, I kind of had to bounce a little on my way down. It was alot of fun and I did it again, and again. Some bigger kids came along and Daddy said it was time to see what else there was. They had an inflatable obstacle course, I got as far as the ladder you had to climb, and I couldn't get over the top to slide down, so Daddy helped me down and I played in the areas that where easier for me. Then we found a big corn crib, Mommy and Daddy took my shoes and socks off and let me play in the corn. I tried to put some of the corn in my pocket. Mommy took it out and put it back in the corn crib.
After all the playing we stopped for something to eat and drink. I didn't eat much as all I wanted to do was play. So after Mommy and Daddy ate we went to see the animals. They had Llamas, baby cows, rabbits, chickens, goats, donkeys,and baby pigs. I am just like my Mommy I love animals, I tried to feed all the animals whatever I could find on the ground. I think the Donkeys where the best. I got to pet one on the nose. It was the same one we saw rolling around in the dirt, so it was a little dusty to pet him.
So after we saw all the animals we walked around a little more, they had live music so I was walking and dancing at the same time. I would shake my booty and spin around. Mommy and Daddy laughed. We went back to the toddler zone and I played a little bit more, and played with a few kids.
Mommy and Daddy said it was time to go, but that we would come back again next weekend. I hope we do, I had so much fun.

My 3rd Birthday

We had a small party for my birthday. Just Mommy, Daddy and myself. We played in the pool for awhile. It was cloudy so we didn't stay in that long. After we got cleaned up from the pool, we had my favorite lunch HOT DOGS. Mommies friend Ms. Retta had a friend of hers make me my birthday cake. I loved my birthday cake, it had Tinkerbell on it.

We opened presents before we had cake, I was opening the presents so fast Mommy couldn't get a good picture of me opening them. She tried, hope you like the ones that she did get. I got clothes, books, a folding basket, and hair things from Great Grandma Margie, Mommy and Daddy got me books,a bubble blower, cracker jacks, and my big present from them was a pink keyboard. Mommy made the comment that know she will know what Grandma and Grandpa Hughes used to say. "Shut the door if you are going to play the piano" After we finished with all the presents we had my cake, I got to blow out the number 3 candle that Mommy put on the cake, I only ate the frosting from my piece of cake. The frosting is the best part I think.

I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything. Mommy has been busy, we had our old computer crash. Now we have a new computer so Mommy has no excuses.

Just a little update on what I have been doing. I am a very active 3 yr old. I have given up the pacifer. It has been about a month now since I last had it. And to tell you the truth I don't really miss it at all. I am talking a little bit more, but not to much. I no longer take naps during the day. Well, I sometimes will take a nap, only if I am really tired.

Well I think that is it for updates on what is going on with me. Will try and post more often.

Petting Zoo

My surprise was a Petting Zoo. Mommy and Daddy let me out of the stroller to run around and pet the goats they had. I liked petting the goats, they had big ones and little ones. They also had some birds in some cages, and donkeys and a alpaca. The goats where the only animals you where allowed to pet. But I didn't care.

I hope you enjoyed my trip to the Nashville Zoo. I can't wait to go again.

Red Panda

This guy was active, he kept walking around his cage, so he would get really close to us. I thought he was kind of cute.

We are in the home stretch of our zoo adventure. Mommy and Daddy said they have one more surprise for me. I wonder what it is......

Clouded Leopard

Cougar

Mommy couldn't wait to see the Cougars, she loves big cats. This was the only picture that turned out. And of course they where sleeping, so nothing exciting about watching them.

Guenon

I thought the Lemurs where hyper, guess the Guenon showed them up. There was one sitting close enough so Mommy could get some pictures. I think the Guenon is some kind of monkey.

Lemurs

The Lemurs where very active. Mommy couldn't get a decent picture of them. That is til she found one sitting in a tree. I wasn't to sure of what to think of them. So we didn't stay too long.

Koi Pond

As we walk across the bamboo bridge to see what is next, we come across a Koi Pond. The fish in the Pond where so big. And they are really pretty. We watched them for a little bit before we headed to see the Lemurs.

Bengal Tiger

As we continue down the path some more we come across the Bengal Tiger. Guess none of the animals wanted to move around as they where laying so far back Mommy couldn't get a good picture of them.

Since they where just hanging out we didn't stay long to watch them.

Ostrich, Eland, and Zebras

Next we saw the Zebras, but there was a bonus as we also saw an Ostrich, and an Eland. Not sure what an Eland is but it was big. I guess these animals can live together. All the other animals where only paired with there own kind.

Unseen New World

We went inside this building to see what they had in there. We had to leave the stroller outside so I got to walk around a bit. They had spiders, frogs, snakes, lizards, alligators, fish, and bats. I didn't care to look at the bats. Mommy couldn't take pictures in there since it was so dark, but she did get some of me looking around.

Saddle Billed Stork

After the Meerkats we came across some more long legged birds. These where Saddle Billed Storks. They must like the yucky water they where standing in.

Meerkats

It was fun to watch the Meerkats as they dug in the ground. Daddy said they where trying to escape or dig up the rock. I hope they where not trying to escape.

One of the Meerkats came right up next to where we where standing. So I got a good look at them up close.

Masai Giraffe

After the Elephants, Daddy said we where going to find the Giraffe's. We didn't have to walk very far before we found them. Must have been lunch time as they where all eating. The have there food high up on the rocks, so they don't have to bend over to eat. I suppose with those long legs it would be hard for them to eat anything on the ground.

After we watched the Giraffe's for awhile Daddy looked at the zoo map and said we are off to see the Meerkats

African Elephants

We didn't spend much time by the Red River Hogs, so we continue on and come across the African Elephant. When we first started watching them they where really far away. Then as we moved on down the path they started to move closer to us, so Mommy got some really good pictures of them. In one of the pictures the Elephant is carrying a big stick. Guess they have to keep where they live clean too.

Red River Hog

So after we saw the birds, we headed down the path some more, and came across the Red River Hog. Daddy said smells like bacon. Mommy said that has to be some of the ugliest looking pigs she has ever seen. Guess it is a face only a Mother could love.

Lorikeet Landing

After the Historic farm we came across Lorikeet Landing, which is a closed in area where the birds fly around, and you can feed them nectar. At first I didn't want to go in but I changed my mind. I am sure glad I did. The birds where flying around everywhere and they would land on you. One landed on Daddy's back. Mommy had to get him off. Mommy had one sitting on her finger, of course she couldn't take a picture of it since it was on her finger. But it was really neat to see a bird that close up.

Grassmere Historic Home and Farm

We came across the Grassmere Historic Home and Farm, The Historic Home was closed so we couldn't go inside and see what it was like, so we walked around the farm part and saw horses, goats, cows, and chickens.

Gibbon Island

As we continue down the path we come across the White Cheecked Gibbon. It was funny to watch one of them climb a tree, he went up it so fast Mommy couldn't take pictures fast enough. Just as we where getting ready to see what was next, Mommy spotted one sitting in the grass hiding from everyone.

Our Trip To The Zoo

It was a lovely day for our trip to the Zoo. Before we left the house, Mommy and Daddy where busy getting everything ready to go, and I ran into my room to grab a book. Mommy and Daddy had to laugh because the title of the book was My Trip to the Zoo. They thought it was cute and funny how out of all my books that was the one I grabbed.

We left the house a little after 12:00 pm. And we got to the Zoo a little after 1:00 pm. Daddy paid for us to get into the Zoo, and the first animals we saw where some Hyacinth Macaws. They where really pretty birds. Mommy said they where cleaning themselves, just like how I take baths. We went a little further down the path and came across a Red-Crowned Crane. It is a funny looking bird with long legs, small head, and a big body.

Fun Day Planned

Daddy has the day off, so we are going to the Nashville Zoo today. It is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to see all the different animals. I hope I am not afraid of any of them. Mommy has the camera charged and ready to go, so stay tuned for pictures of my first visit to the zoo.

Finding a place for the Pole

Once we got the pole together we had to find a place to put it. We decided on the backyard. While Daddy was putting the pole in the ground, I was out exploring the backyard and found some weeds to pull, and a nice sunny patch to sit in and watch Daddy work. After he got the pole in the ground he let me play with the hammer. I had fun banging it on the board.

Helping Daddy with the Bird Feeder Pole

The birds are coming back so Daddy went and bought a Bird Feeder Pole and I helped him put it together. Okay Daddy did most of the work, I was busy looking at the instuctions. Somebody had to look at them, Daddy just starts putting things together without looking at them.

I Love Books

I love to look at my books, even though I can't read yet, I can still look at the pictures. All I need is a comfy place to sit. Mommy reads to me everyday.

Before the Room Cleaning

Mommy was in the mood to clean my room, and maybe rearrange it a little. After she got started she realized she wasn't sure what she was going to do. And it didn't help her any that I kept getting in the way. All I wanted to do was play with my toys, but she kept putting them away. But in the end she got it cleaned up. After The Room Cleaning

So this is what Mommy came up with for rearranging my room. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. But she took out the big headboard that was against the far wall, so that gave her room to move my playhouse into the corner more. She was going to move my bed into a different spot but then put it back where it was. So the only thing that got moved around was my house. She added some baskets to put my stuffed animals in, and we put them in the baskets by what they were. I helped Mommy put the stuffed animals away.

Playing in the clothes hamper

I wanted to sit inside the clothes hamper the other day so Mommy put me in it, and I played in there for awhile. I liked popping up and saying boo. Daddy would move me from room to room. Mommy and Daddy both laughed when I popped out of the hamper.

Playing with Pudding

Mommy gave me a snack of Chocolate pudding, but as you can see by the pictures I wasn't hungry for pudding. Instead I was finger painting with the pudding. I had so much fun spreading it around on my highchair tray. Do you like my finished art work?
Mommy laughed the whole time I was playing with my pudding, she didn't even mind the clean up afterwards.

Mommy and Daddy got Married

Mommy and Daddy got Married today. They got married on my Grandma Joyce's Birthday, in memory of her. She would have like that.

Grandpa gave Mommy away. She didn't walk down the aisle, Grandpa went up and stood by Mommy and Daddy. And gave Mommy's hand to Daddy. Daddy had everyone laughing, he is so funny.

More fun in the Snow

We have gotten more snow in Tennessee. Daddy and I have had alot of fun playing in it. We didn't have a sled so Mommy went and got us a rubber maid tub and Daddy pulled me around in it. I think next year we will maybe get a sled, but if we do we probably won't get as much snow as we did this year.

Playing in the snow

We finally got some snow here in Tennessee. It wasn't much just about an inch but it was enough for me to play in. Mommy put me in my snowsuit and let me walk around in the snow. She put gloves on me but I took them off right away. The snow was fun to walk around in and throw. I hope we get some more snow so Daddy can build a snowman with me.

The picture that is all black with white spots is a picture Mommy took at 3 in the morning when it started snowing.

Christmas Lights 2009

We went and looked at the Christmas lights they had set up along the Cumberland Riverwalk. It was pretty much the same lights as last year. But Mommy and Daddy noticed a few new ones. I loved looking at all the lights. It was a cold walk but it was nice to get out and get some fresh air.

It didn't really feel like Christmas with no snow on the ground, but what do you expect when you live in the South. We had lots of rain and wind on Christmas Eve. I wondered if Santa would be able to get to all the good boys and girls. But Mommy said that Santa always finds a way to get the presents to everyone. And of course she was right. I had a bunch of presents under the tree when I woke up Christmas morning. We didn't open presents til later in the day. Mommy and Daddy wanted to make sure I had a nap before we opened presents so I would be in a good mood.

When I woke up from my nap Mommy put all my presents on my Tinkerbell table and took a picture of me with all my gifts. Then she took them all off and only gave me a few at a time. At first I wasn't sure what to do with the presents, but Daddy showed me how to open one and after that I went nuts with ripping open the wrapping paper to see what was inside. Mommy was taking pictures but I was going threw them so fast that she couldn't keep up.

From my Great Aunt Linda I got 2 new outfits, From Great Grandma Margie I got a book that talks to me when I push the buttons, a pair of socks, lotion, rubberbands for my hair, and a new shirt, From Grandma Smith I got a pair of froggie jammies, a jogging suit, a pink bunny, and some mittens. One of the mittens has a frog on it, From Santa I got a stuffed puppy that has its own carrying case, and from Mommy and Daddy I got a book that talks it is from LeapFrog. Guess it is suppose to help me talk and learn different things.

All in all I had a great Christmas, I can't wait til next year to do it all over again.

Tinkerbell

Daddy got me some new Tinkerbell jammies and a Tinkerbell table and chairs. I love the jammies they are so soft and warm. The Tinkerbell table is really neat. I can draw on the top of the table and it wipes right off. So now I don't have to ask Mommy for paper anymore. I just need to ask Mommy for the maker.

Went to the dr. on the 23rd of November, I weigh 23 1/2 lbs and I am 35 inches tall. The dr. says I am about 4 lbs underweight. Bring on the sweets. Just kidding. The dr also talked to Mommy and Daddy about getting me into speech theraphy. Since I am not talking yet. Mommy and Daddy want to wait til the first of the year to have me tested to see if I qualify. Will keep everyone posted.

While we where at the farm today we came across an area that had bins and boxes of corn to play in. Mommy said when she was younger she would play in the corn. It was alot of fun.

Riverview Mounds Century Farms

Today we all went to Riverview Mounds Century Farms. I got to see goats, sheep, llamas, chickens and pony. I had fun feeding the goats and sheep. I wasn't to sure about the llamas. They are really big animals. I even chased a chicken around for awhile trying to catch it. The chicken was smart and went back into the fenced in area.

Mommy and Daddy had a fun time watching me interact with the animals since this was the first time I have seen goats and sheep. I kept saying HI to all the animals and waving at them.

Camping trip 2009

We all went camping for Mommy's birthday. We went to Standing Stone State Park. It is about 2 1/2 hours from our house. And Daddy said he was proud of me for being so good on the way there. Once we got there we stopped at the playground first so I could run around and play for a little bit before it got to dark.

Our cabin was really nice, it was almost like being at home. The cabin had a kitchen, bathroom, living room and a bedroom. The park was nice enough to supple a playpen for me to sleep in. The living room had a fireplace in it and Daddy lit the fireplace after we finished supper. I stayed away from the fireplace. Daddy said it was HOT.

When it was time to go to bed I wanted nothing to do with the playpen. I think I am a little to big for it. When Mommy laid me down I cried and wanted out. So Mommy and Daddy tried to lay with me on the couch. I fell asleep in Daddy's arms and when Mommy tried to lay me in the playpen I woke up and started crying again. Finally around midnight I fell asleep with Mommy on the couch. Guess I am not used to sleeping in different places. Maybe next year it will be better.

Playing with a Turtle

Mommy and I where outside playing outside and our next door neighbor came over with a turtle to look at. He put the turtle on the ground and it was hiding in his shell. He did come out after awhile and started crawling away. I chased after it and watched it crawl. I petted his hard shell, and even tried to push him along a little faster. Turtles crawl really slow.

I got a package from Grandma Smith, and she got me a garden doll, a frog shaped body wash, and a cute shirt. Mommy got pictures of everything but the shirt.

I thought the frog shaped body wash was something to eat, Daddy told me it was for the bath, but I had to try and eat it anyway. I am a kid you know.

I am 2 Yrs Old

August 21st I turned 2 yrs old. Hard to believe how fast the time has gone. I am becoming more independent everyday.

Mommy's friend Miss Retta got me a balloon, a frog cake and a birthday card for my birthday. Thank you very much Miss Retta.

I was a little afraid of my birthday cake, I wasn't sure what to do with it. But once Daddy gave me a taste of the frosting, I dug right into it. All I ate was the frosting, who needs the cake part. So I had a pretty good sugar buzz after all that frosting. So Mommy and Daddy took me to the park to run it off.

Daddy and I went out to catch Fireflies one night, and we caught about 4 of them. Mommy got a container to put them in, so I could watch them without hurting them. I tried to give them a kiss and Mommy got a picture of it.

After awhile we set them free so we could catch them another day.

My new Playhouse

Mommy's friend Retta found me a playhouse. It has a porch with a little bench for me to sit on, and a doorbell that really works. I have a sink inside the playhouse and shutters on the windows. I really like my new playhouse, Daddy hasn't seen it yet since he was at work today. I hope he likes it as much as I do.

I parked my car on the front porch, I put it inside my playhouse, but Mommy said if I did that I wouldn't have any room to play. Guess Mommy was right.

My backyard friends

I have a few animal friends that like to graze in my backyard, I love to watch them eat and walk around. I get all excited when I see one of my animal friends. I will grab Mommy or Daddy's hand and take them to the window so they can see them too. Mommy said she will not mow the back yard so they always have grass to eat.

Got a package from my Grandma Smith in Minnesota. In it was a Easter Basket with some goodies in it. I got a dress which I am wearing in the pictures, a froggie puff sponge, and a hollow milk chocolate ducky. I haven't eaten it yet. I was wearing my pretty dress and Mommy knew I would make a mess.

Mommy and Daddy got a couple of toys from the neighbor. A big tent that has Cars on it. From the movie Cars, and a little vanity that lights up and plays music.

I love to go and play in my tent. Mommy went and put all my toys inside, so I can play with them. The tent has 3 different ways to get in and out.

My Busy Day

Well, I have been sick for awhile now, and when Mommy and Daddy took me in a couple of weeks ago, the doctor said I had bronchitis. So I was on antibiotics for that. It cleared up my runny nose but not my cough.

So, Mommy took me back into the doctor's today. I weigh 21.10 lbs. The doctor was really nice, I remember her from all the other appointments I had. Mommy told her all my symptoms I had. And the doctor checked me out. I sat on the table like a big girl while she examined me. She checked my ears, nose and throat, and then she listened to my heart and lungs. After she was done, she talked to Mommy some more and she told Mommy that she wanted to do an x-ray of my lungs, and try a breathing treatment to see if that didn't help me.

Mommy and I went into the x-ray room, and they put me in this seat, and placed this mold around me with my arms above my head, (that way I wouldn't move during the x-ray) I did so good, I didn't cry once. The lady doing the x-ray was impressed with how good I did. After the x-ray was done we went back into the room.

The nurse came in to give me my breathing treatment. While Mommy was holding the mask to my face, the nurse put this thing on my finger to let her know what my oxygen level was. She said it was at 98 which was good. I didn't really care for the mask over my face, but I was a real trooper. I only squirmed a little bit. The breathing treatment only lasted about 5 minutes. After I was done, the doctor came back into the room to listen to my lungs again. Well, the breathing treatment didn't help my lungs at all. And the doctor said she didn't like how the x-rays looked. She said I have a spot on my lung that is a sign of pneumonia.

After telling Mommy that I have pneumonia, she said she wanted to prick my finger and test my blood cell count, so the nurse came back in and pricked my finger. Mommy jumped a little when they pricked my finger. I just said on Mommy's lap and watched what she was doing. So after a few minutes of waiting she came back into the room and said my blood cell count was good.

So I am now back on antibiotics for another 10 days and then I go back in to see if I am any better. I will keep you all posted on how I am doing.

Snow Day

I know another post about snow, we don't get much snow down here so when we do I have to let you all know about it. We should only get around 2 inches. I can't wait to go and play in the snow tomorrow, that is if it is still there. It should be. Mommy went out and made me a snowball, and of course I am going to eat it. What do you expect.

Since I have been sick, I don't know if Mommy will let me go out and play in the snow. We will just have to wait and see.

17 and 18 months

I know I haven't updated my blog in awhile. And for that I apologize. I decided to combine my 17 and 18 month update into one post.

17 months, Not much of a change, still doing the same ole things I always do. Still not doing much on the talking end, guess I am not ready to talk yet. I just point at what I want and Mommy and Daddy give it to me, why should I say anything.

18 months, well I started to say mama I guess that is a start. I love to play copy cat. I know where my head, eyes, nose, ears, and tummy are. I am learning to feed myself with a fork and spoon. I am still attached to my pacifer. Mommy is going to have fun breaking me of that habit.

Well, I guess that is about it for my monthly updates. Will update you again when I am 19 months.

Snow

Well, we finally have some snow down here. I know it isn't going to last very long, it never does. So Mommy got me in my snowsuit and took me outside to play in the snow. I wasn't out to long, only because it was a little cold and windy. Mommy tried to make a snowball for me but it wasn't the right type of snow. I hope we get some more snow, that way I can help Mommy and Daddy make a snowman.

The other day I was out helping Daddy feed the birds. Since it is winter and they don't have alot of food to eat. It was fun reaching into the pail of bird seed and throw it on the ground. Daddy said we can go and do that again real soon. I like helping Daddy.

My new Bubble machine

We went shopping a couple of weeks ago and we went into Kay Bee Toys. They where closing the store so everything was on sale. Daddy found a Nemo bubble blowing machine, and I love it. Mommy will turn it on and let me play with the bubbles in the house. It is fun to watch Nemo blow bubbles. There is a little dish that you put the bubbles in and a wand that dips into the bubble solution and then brings it up to Nemo's mouth and he blows the bubbles.

Oh, and Mommy said don't mind the stain on the sleeve of my shirt. I am a kid and I tend to get dirty.

While Mommy was talking to a friend, I decided to empty my dresser drawers. I had so much fun doing it. Mommy laughed when she came in and saw what I did. I had the clothes all the way into the hallway, and some in my hiding tree. That will teach Mommy to leave the bedroom door open.

Last Call for Christmas Lights

On New Year's Day we went to look at the Christmas Lights that where on display along a trail next to the Cumberland River. It was about 45 degrees out so Mommy and Daddy thought it would be a good idea to look at them before they took them down. I had alot of fun looking at all the lights. I wanted to touch them, but Daddy said it was hot and not to touch. When we got to the end of the trail Mommy and Daddy let me play in the park for awhile. I had fun going down the slide. It was the first time I went down all by myself. I am starting to become such a big girl.

My second cousin Kathy sent me a box of clothes that her daughter has outgrown. Thank you so very much for the clothes. So here is a little fashion show just for you, so you can see what I look like in them.

I know Grandpa is going to love me in the brown outfit since brown is his favorite color.

Mommy has the clothes that will fit me now or will in the near future in my dresser already and the rest are in the box for when I need them.

Christmas 2008

Another year has gone by and Christmas is upon us once again. Guess I am still a little young to understand all the excitement

Kaitlin and William helped me open my presents. From Mommy and Daddy I got a purple Tinkerbell chair, an activity center, and color crayons made for my age. They are called Tadoodles. I would rather eat the crayon part, so Mommy took the crayon part out and is letting me play with the base of it. Once I get the hang of it I am sure I will be making pictures for everyone :)

My cousin Kaitlin got me dolly, Uncle Jim and Grandpa got me a Pooh Bear, and Uncle Dave and William got me a Pound Puppy. Sorry Uncle Dave no pictures of the Pound Puppy yet, but I will make sure Mommy gets some on here.

My Uncles and Grandpa

I didn't really know what to think of my uncles, I was a little afraid of them at first. But by the last day I was starting to warm up to them a little. Once I get a little older I think I will be less afraid of them. Mommy did get some pictures of me with my Uncles. The one without the glasses is my Uncle Dave, and the one with glasses is my Uncle Jim.

I didn't really know what to think of Grandpa either. But he got to hold me long enough for Mommy to take a picture of us together. I am sorry for not letting you hold me.

Sorry I was scared, I promise next time I see you I will be better. :)
